Northwest Fresno to raise some Cain this Tuesday

Popular fried-chicken restaurant Raising Cane’s will open its second Fresno location on Tuesday, bringing the popular restaurant chain closer to residents near the fast-growing El Paseo shopping center near Herndon Avenue and Highway 99. Tuesday’s grand opening begins at 9 a.m. and will feature a “Lucky 20” drawing to award 20 customers free Cane’s for a year. The first 100 customers to purchase a combo meal will also receive a commemorative hat and free box combo card, good for a free box combo on a return visit.

New Raising Cane’s opening in northwest Fresno

A new Raising Cane’s restaurant opens Tuesday in northwest Fresno. The Weber and Herndon location is now the chain’s second restaurant in the Fresno area. There is also a location in Clovis. Doors open at 9 am. As part of a grand opening celebration, there will be a drawing to award 20 customers free Cane’s chicken for a year.

California’s newest Costco will be one of the biggest in the world

If you are one of the many who deem yourself a Costco superfan, a trip to California may soon be in order to peruse the aisles of what will be one of the country’s largest locations. After lots of legal back-and-forth, a location in northwest Fresno will be replaced by a “massive 219,000-square-foot warehouse,” according to Amanda Bartlett at SF Gate.

Costco relocation approved in Fresno. New site is $98 million investment, company says

Costco Wholesale has won a green light from the Fresno City Council to relocate its existing West Shaw Avenue store to a new, larger location on West Herndon Avenue, a few miles to the northwest. The council unanimously approved a cluster of zoning, planning and environmental actions that will allow Costco to develop a 22.4-acre site at the northeast corner of Herndon Avenue and Riverside Drive.

New businesses coming to northwest Fresno shopping center
